14,500 thank-you meals for Finnish food producers
On Thursday, 1 October, we once again celebrated Producer Day, and our restaurants across Finland filled up with food producers and their families. Over the course of the day, we served 14,500 free burger meals worth more than €240,000 in total. That’s more meals than ever before: in 2024, we served 10,500, and last year around 13,000.
A total of 36 of our restaurants took part. The busiest were in Kokkola, Kouvola, Seinäjoki and Vaasa, each serving close to 1,000 meals or more.
We have held Producer Day since 2018, and it is our way of thanking Finnish food producers. As much as 95% of our ingredients are Finnish, so behind every burger we serve are several Finnish farms and hard-working producers.
“The best part of the day was the encounters between the producers and our restaurant teams. We wanted to offer a tangible thank-you for the work that our food is built on, too,” says our CEO Tuomas Piirtola.
The encounters continued online as well: during the day, 540 greetings from all over Finland were left in the Producer Day guestbook. Many of the messages showed how much it means to producers that their work is noticed.
“Appreciation like this from you is truly humbling, and I really can’t say anything but a huge thank you!” wrote one producer (translated from Finnish).
“It’s quite something that you’ve been treating us producers to burgers as a thank-you for so many years now! Thank you for using Finnish ingredients!” said another (translated from Finnish).
A warm thank you to every producer family, our partners and our restaurant staff, who once again made the day unforgettable!
